HOUSE MANUAL
House Rules
Please read carefully. Guests that violate the house rules may be asked to leave.
1. Only Registered Guests Are Allowed
2. No Parties or Events and smoking is stricly prohibeted
3. No Unregistered Guest
4. Quiet Time Between 10:00 pm and 9:00 am
5. No Exception To Check-In and Check-Out Times
6. Pets are only llowed at 109 Cherry Ave, units A & B.
7. Damages Exceeding the Deposit Amount Will Be Billed To The Guests. Smoking of any kind incurs a $500 fine.
8. Please treat our rental like your own. If you open it, close it; if you borrow it, return it; if you turn it on, turn it off; if you break it, fix it; if you use it, take care of it; if you make a mess, clean it up; if you move it, put it back.
Security
To help keep the property safe and secure, there is a Nest doorbell with camera next to the front door. Also, we use a noise monitoring device that measures decibel levels throughout the property remain low during quite hours from 10pm to 8am.
Check-In
Check in time is after 3:00pm. We have a keyless entry system and will email you an access code a few days before arrival. Access codes only work after 3:00pm and are voided after each stay.
Check-Out
Check out time is 11:00am. When you depart, leave the garage remote and or parking pass on the kitchen counter and lock the front door. The cleaning team will arrive shortly after 11:00am to begin preparing the house for our next guest.
Dishes: Please load the dishwasher and start before you leave. Dishwasher soap pods are under the sink.
Garbage: Dispose of garbage in garbage cans located behind the fence to the right of the property.
Linens: No need to wash sheets or towels . Leave the beds unmade. Place used towels in a pile in bathrooms.
Furniture: Replace any furniture that was rearranged.
Check the property for any personal belongings upon departure. Turn off all lights and heater(s). There may be a charge for excessive cleaning or trash pickup.
Parking
Parking is very limited in Capitola Village. At 109 Cherry Ave Units A & B, and 224 San Jose Ave, we are lukcy to have garages. However, anything larger than a mid-sized SUV will not fit in the garage. For 106 Lawn Way, we have a parking permit for you that allows you to park for free in several zones and lots around the village
There's also street parking all around the cottages, but can be difficult to find a spot on weekends - you might have to circle a few times. Street parking is limited to two hours between 8am and 8pm.
There's also a large public lot at the top of Monterey Avenue, where you can park all day.
Wifi
The Wifi network name and password are sent to you in the check-in information 4 days prior to arrival.
Television
Each television includes a Roku media player. We provide access to Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+, and YouTube. You are welcome to add any of your own streaming services. Just be sure to remove any login credentials prior to departing.
Baby Equipment (109 Cherry Ave A & B)
We have three small children ourselves and welcome all families! Each unit is equipped with a high chair, a baby bed (Pack and Play), and baby gate. All items are stored in the downstairs bedroom closet.
Appliances/Equipment
Refrigerator / Freezer: Please do not leave any food items in the refrigerator or freezer when you leave Coffee maker: Coffee, creamer and sugar is provided.
Dishwasher: There are dishwasher pods under the kitchen sink. Please, fill and start the dishwasher upon departure.
Washer/Dryer: You will find a washer and dryer located at the back of the middle carport. A bottle of detergent is in the laundry room. Please remove lint from the dryer filter after each use.
Other Appliances: You will also find on location a range/oven, blender, a toaster and a microwave.
Heating and Air Conditioning
Heat is provided by electric baseboard units at 109 Cherry Ave. Units do not have air conditioning, which is typical for the area. Fans can be found in the upstairs hall closet and downstairs bedroom closet.
Garbage/Recycling
The garbage and recycling bins are located behind the fence to the right of the property. Garbage gets picked up on Monday mornings. No need to wheel the bins out as the garbage collector will do so. at 106 Lawn Way, garbage cans are directly out the back door and to the left.
